[openrtm-users 02650] Invitation to the VirCA community

Dear RT-Middleware Users,I would like to bring the VirCA (Virtual Collaboration Arena) RT-Middleware based 3D framework into your attention, which could be considered as a virtual intelligent space extension for OpenRTM-aist. The best way of discovering VirCA is visiting www.virca.hu where several demo videos and a brief introduction helps to understand the operation and capabilities.

Basically, VirCA provide a shared 3D virtual space for OpenRTM-aist powered robotic (or any other) solutions what can be used for prototyping, system management or user interface purposes. VirCA is free to use and we plan to make it open source in the near future. Since the latest public release, several bugfixes and improvements were done and developer version is also available upon request.

Let me attach one of our conference paper about VirCA with the following bibliographic data:
[1] P. Galambos and P. Baranyi, “VirCA as Virtual Intelligent Space for RT-Middleware,” in 2011 IEEE/ASME International Conference on Advanced Intelligent Mechatronics (AIM), 2011, pp. 140–145.

If someone has any question, comment or request about VirCA do not hesitate to contact me. We would be very happy to cooperate with other RTM users.Best regards,
