RPM package for Fedora14 (Laughlin) released
The new version of Fedora Linux, Fedora14 (Laughlin) has been released on November 2nd, 2010. This is a belated release, but RPM packages of OpenRTM-aist-1.0.0-RELEASE (C++) have been released.

Ubuntu Linux 11.04 (Natty Narwhal) was released on April 28th 2011. OpenRTM-aist-1.0.0-RELEASE (C++) packages for this version have been released on the openrtm.org repository server.

We have released version 3.0 of the rtshell command-line toolkit and rtctree component management Python library for OpenRTM-aist. This new release adds a large number of new commands and improves the existing commands. Major new features include:
Composite component support
System consistency checks
Log file recording and play back
System visualisation

A new version of OpenHRP3, OpenHRP 3.1.0-Release, has been released. Details are available at the OpenHRP3 official website. Source code and Ubuntu packages (with installation script) are available from here.
The Ubuntu packages are stored in the same repository server as the OpenRTM-aist packages. If you have already added OpenRTM-aist's repository server to the source.list file, OpenHRP can be installed by apt-get command.

Documentation has been updated for the 1.0-RELEASE.
English, Japanese and Korean pages are provided.
Conference papers relating to OpenRTM-aist are available as PDF files.

RTCBuilder and RTSystemEditor are a part of the robot software platform, Open RT Platform (OpenRTP), for developing robot systems. They allow the easy creation of RT Components and RT Systems. OpenRTP is based on OpenRTM-aist, and these tools are developed as part of the NEDO Developing Intelligent Technology for Next-Generation Robots Project.

We have shown a residential model for disabled persons which supports self-sustained living by utilizing RT-Middleware technology.
Welfare devices cooperate each other through common network platform (based on RT-Middleware) in the residential model
It is possible to realize customizable living environment for disability persons by integrating through RT-Middleware.
Self-sustained living of disabled person is supported, and a disabled person's social participation promotion and reduction of care worker's incidence are expected.

A patch has been released providing communication between ROS nodes and OpenRTM-aist.
A new port type is used to communicate over ROS topics.
The ROS transport method can be used between OpenRTM-aist components.
Full native support - no wrappers.
ROS services are also supported.

The problem on which the RTSystemEditor does not work properly with non-administrator account on Windows Vista/7 has been solved.
The problem that the omniidl that is necessary at the development time does not work properly has been solved.
Please download and perform upgrade install with the newest version OpenRTM-aist-1.0.0-RELEASE_vc9(or8)_100212.msi.

サイエンスキャンプ2009が8月19日から8月21日にかけて行われます。 サイエンスキャンプは、文部科学省の「サイエンス・パートナーシップ・プロジェクト」の一環として、 最先端の研究施設・実験装置等を有する大学・公的研究機関・民間企業の研究所が、夏休み・冬休み・春休みの３日間高校生を受け入れて、様々な科学技術分野において、直接指導を行う実験や実習を主体とした、科学技術体験合宿プログラムです。 昨年は5名の参加者がありました。今年も5名を募集し、RTミドルウエアとLEGO Mindstorms NXTを使ったロボットの製作体験をしてもらう予定です。
